- A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS STORY BY THE SALAJ FAMILY
If you want to experience a proper Christmas holiday atmosphere then you should definitely visit the property of the Salaj family in Grabovnica next to Čazma. For years, it has attracted the attention of the wider public because of the way the house and garden is decorated. During the festive season, the property is lit up by the lights of a hundred thousand coloured lamps which creates a vibrant experience and idyll for every visitor. At night, the Christmas stable and nativity, as well as the entire garden area with the multi-coloured Christmas lights and decorations offer you the unforgettable experience of a true Croatian Christmas story. The owner of the property, Zlatko Salaj, decorated his first tree 20 years ago, and then decorated a few more trees each Christmas. His love and passion for the lights and a vibrant Christmas experience resulted in him starting the Christmas story project at Čazma in 2003, which has become a tourist brand of the Čazma area.

Varaždin was built over the centuries and different stylistic influences, varying fashions of certain historical periods and wishes of the investors created an interesting and somewhat unusual harmony of flora and fauna, mythical animals and unusual characters built into the facades of the houses and palaces in the historic City core. Also note on your walk through Varaždin the fantastic bestiary of Varaždin: try to penetrate into its hidden meaning or just enjoy the imagination of the builder.
