DAY 1 / ZAGREB 4*
Arrival to Zagreb Airport. Transfer to hotel in Zagreb. Welcome meeting at the hotel at 19:00.

DAY 2 / SLJEME HIKING 4*
Breakfast at hotel. Today we will hike to the highest peak of Medvednica mountain and enjoy in the best view of Zagreb. There are over 70 mountain paths to choose from. Medvednica is a mountain in central Croatia, just north of Zagreb. The highest peak is Sljeme (1035 m). Most of the area of Medvednica is a nature park. “On Sljeme, the foot runs by its own will”- these are the first words of an old Zagreb song, often yelled by happy mountain climbers on their way up to the top. Zagreb is blessed with a location right next to Sljeme, an easy getaway that offers hiking trails and ski slopes of international quality. Hikers and nature lovers like to stop for the refreshments at one of its mountain shelters that offer traditional Zagorje cuisine. If you want to live like a local, order a bowl of bean stew! Enjoy a free evening in Zagreb and dinner on your own. Overnight in Zagreb.

DAY 3 / WALKING PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK 3*
Breakfast at hotel.
Today we visit the most beautiful and stunning national park of Croatia – Plitvice Lakes National Park. We start our day walking along the wooden paths and bridges in and around Plitvice Lakes National Park. Its exquisite series of 16 emerald green and opal blue travertine lakes, more than 90 waterfalls and numerous caves make it a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The lakes are surrounded by beech and pine forests and are home to extensive wildlife. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the pure and untouched nature. Panoramic boat and train rides will take us back to the start. Later in the afternoon we return to our hotel. Overnight in Plitvice.

DAY 4 / HIKING PAKLENICA NATIONAL PARK 4*
Breakfast at a hotel. Morning departure to Starigrad Paklenica where our adventure begins.
Paklenica National Park covers the area of torrent flows of Velika Paklenica and Mala Paklenica, their distinctive canyons carved vertically into the south slopes of Mount Velebit and the broader surrounding area. This relatively small area offers exceptional diversity of geomorphologic phenomena and forms, diverse flora and fauna, attractive landscapes and intact nature. Having adapted to the geographic and climatic environment, the locals mostly engage in nomadic stock herding, which can be seen by their mountain shepherd residences. Hiking is the only way to really get to know Paklenica National Park. There are several wonderful hikes through beech and black pine forests to choose from. The most popular is the trail leading to Borisov Dom, a mountain hut popular among mountaineers. After descending all the way to the sea we drive to Split for the evening. Overnight in Split.

DAY 5 / WALKING IN KRKA NATIONAL PARK 3*
Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure to Krka National Park.
This day takes us to Krka River National Park with its fantastic karst formations and travertine waterfalls. We explore the park’s extensive waterways and complex history dating back to late 10th century and first Croatian kings. One of the options is a visit to Skradinski Buk waterfall, the place where the second hydro plant in the world was built, just a few years after the one on Niagara Falls. A boat will take us to Visovac island and its Franciscan monastery. After walking we return to Split for the evening. Overnight in Split.

DAY 6 / HIKING ON MOSOR MOUNTAIN 3*
Breakfast at hotel. Mount Mosor is a mountain range in Croatia located near the city of Split on the Adriatic coast. It belongs to Dinaric Alps and it stretches from the pass of Klis in the nortwest to the Cetina River in the southeast. Hiking on the mountain Mosor begins and ends in a little place called Sitno Gornje. We will climb about 300 meters above sea level to the mountain lodge of Mosor. The lodge is located 868 meters above sea level. The lodge provides a wonderful view of all the Dalmatian islands and the city of Split. After hiking we will drive to Dubrovnik for the evening. DAY / HIKING MOUNT SRĐ 3*
Breakfast at hotel. Towering above Dubrovnik to the north, the 412-metre peak of Mount Srđ offers stunning views of the walled town below, with a panorama of the whole coast stretching as far as the Pelješac peninsula to the northwest. The mountain seems a world away from the lush subtropical world of the coastal strip, with bare stone and scrub stretching as far as the eye can see. On the top of the hill is the Fort Imperial with its stout, defiant, walls standing ever since Napoleon’s soldiers built the fort in 1812. The fort and this mountain was where one of the biggest battles took place in the 1991-1995 Croatian War of Independence. The cable car that was disabled during this time has recently been reopened. Enjoy a free evening and dinner on your own in Dubrovnik. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

DAY 8 / DUBROVNIK
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Dubrovnik Airport (or other hotel / accommodation unit in Dubrovnik). End of program.
