Upon arrival welcome at Palace hotel. The hotel is located in a palace built in the early twentieth century modernist style in the very centre of the city. Palace hotel opened its doors in 1907. In the evening welcome dinner at the hotel with traditional Strukli dish. It is among inevitable Zagreb specialities. Once you try them you will be hungry for more. Dinner proceeds with Chef’s choice and one of the famous Palace desserts. Overnight.
After breakfast city tour. Sightseeing of Zagreb beauties and enjoying morning fever on Zagreb markets, squares and streets. The most popular green market Dolac awaits you with tempting smell of bakeries, fresh fruit, vegetables and dairy products. Upper town will embrace you with its charm and there you will have a small break for degustation of home made doughnuts, „soparnik“ and choice of more than twenty sorts of brandies, liquors and fresh juices. In the afternoon private excursion to Japetic area just outside of Zagreb for a wine tasting. Area is famous for excellent wine cellars and fabulous landscapes. At Kolaric family warm welcome at „Šumski dvor“, Count Erdödy’s summer house, built in year 1656. With local food and wine of Kolarić family you can enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the Svetojanska villages and vineyards. Return to Zagreb and dinner at the traditional restaurant with local specialities. Overnight.
Breakfast. Free time for leisure before departure. Optional*: half day tour toSamobor a small picturesque town near Zagreb. Bermet wine tasting which is a trade mark dating from 18. century. Time for individual sightseeing (we suggest visit one of the cake shops at the central square with famous custard pastries also known as „kremsnite“). Departure back to Zagreb.
